What kind of toys are these? My 10 year old son wants more for Christmas. I know there from a set but I’m not sure what they are called. : toys

It is indeed Bionicle, however what you have are fragments from different eras and generations. The majority are from around 2007-2008. That yellow piece is a newer one from the Hero Factory line of toys. They utilize the Character and Creature Building System. That system was designed around 2011 to replace Bionicle when the original series ended and they tried to release the Hero Factory line.

Depending on what era of parts he likes to play with, your best bet is to buy a lot of them from places like eBay or purchase newer sets that utilize CCBS like the Buildable Lego Star Wars figures.

Yes, I did grow up with Bionicle and do attempt to collect some of the older sets to appease my childhood nostalgia.
