I was fortunate to pick up an inexpensive trio of vintage 1960s 6 inch Marx Russian soldiers for my collection; I needed a better condition submachinegun runner than the one that I had. These are in beautiful condition but have a really bad musty smell, I presume from cigar/cigarette smoke or from mold. I’ve tried dealing with this in comics and trading cards before (with some success) but never like this from plastic. Anybody got any theories on cleaning? I’m currently soaking them in a vinegar/water solution but am open to all ideas. Cheers!
